about me_
I'm part of the team at taxpeer, a high-end tax education company redefining the field. I thrive on challenges and constantly seek ways to enhance our systems. My programming journey began in 2013, allowing me to develop a diverse and strong skill set. Before Taxpeer, I was Head of IT at SIUT, a Berlin-based company innovating in passenger guidance systems, where I designed and implemented complex solutions. Now, I'm eager to advance technology further, leverage AI for positive impact, and build powerful, efficient systems.
freelancing_
With my freelance company, nosc.io, I've had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed clients such as S-Bahn Stuttgart, Filmhochschule Ludwigsburg (developing their ticketing and event management system), and real estate firms like Verwaltung Bauer.
volunteering_
Since 2019, I've applied my digital and tech skills to assist non-profit organizations. I've been part of a team that developed infrastructure for a notable climate movement in Germany and have helped smaller organizations and art collectives build websites, tools, and apps, allowing them to focus on their primary objectives.
skills_
I started developing iOS apps in 2014 and have continued ever since, though my primary focus has evolved over time. Currently, I work as a full-stack TypeScript developer with a strong emphasis on backend development. Alongside this, I have extensive experience with C and C++ (particularly C98), gained during my time at the renowned 42 coding school, where I built core functionalities like shells and web servers from the ground up. My daily tech stack includes TypeScript, React, and Fastify, though I’ve worked with a broad range of other technologies. For instance, this website is built with Next.js. Below, I’ll share more about my skills, expertise, and areas of focus.
web development / backend
I have designed and developed a variety of web systems, ranging from independently creating an asset management system to building large-scale event management platforms for the FMX conference. Additionally, I have built many custom simple and complex solutions for clients, such as example a platform that connected students with professional financial advisors or web apps for NGOs.
low level development
At 42 Heilbronn, I worked daily with C and C++, developing core functionalities such as shells, web servers, and ray casters. You can find my work on GitHub! I am highly proficient in C and C++ and capable of building complex systems from the ground up.
app development
In my spare time, I enjoy developing iOS apps. My most notable and longest-running project is HITS DB (iOS only), an app I originally created to help my mom manage her histamine intolerance. Since then, it has gained over 80,000 users. I hope to dedicate more time to its development and especially to its maintenance, as the code base is more than a decade old :) Overall, I have built more than 30 apps, with around a dozen developed for clients or professional projects.
consultation
I provide consulting services to companies, startups, and app agencies, assisting them with their projects as needed. In my free time, I offer pro bono consulting for NGOs. If you're interested in working with me, feel free to reach out.
system planning
I have designed and structured complex systems in my previous roles, ensuring seamless collaboration between multiple stakeholders while overseeing the technical implementation.
